Speaking at the commemoration program held at DPU, Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak started his speech by emphasizing the values ​​represented by the university. Stating that the university's flag symbolizes the sacrifice of the martyrs and the unshakable will of the Turkish nation, Rector Kızıltoprak stated that the independence and love of the homeland of the Turkish nation will never be damaged with the words "We fall to the ground, but we do not drop our flag."

Stating that FETO, which is behind the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, has insidiously infiltrated the state institutions by exploiting religious values ​​for years, Kızıltoprak said that the organization abused the nation's labor, sweat and trust. Stating that FETO hid its true intentions under different identities and masks for many years, Kızıltoprak noted that these masks completely fell off with the coup attempt.

Stating that terrorist organizations do not only mean life, but also state order, national values ​​and social peace, Süleyman Kızıltoprak said, "The terrorist organization does not want order, does not want the state, does not want authority, does not want values. By exploiting all these, it serves the interests of other focuses."

"No structure that points a gun at its nation can find a place in the conscience of this nation."

Reminding that the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye was bombed on the night of July 15 and that the police force, security forces and innocent citizens were targeted, Kızıltoprak said that the coup plotters pointing guns at their own nation went down in history as a dark stain.

Prof. emphasized that the Turkish nation will never forget this betrayal. Dr. Kızıltoprak stated that FETO will be remembered as one of the darkest betrayals throughout history and said, "Any structure that points guns at its own nation will never find a place in the conscience of this nation." he said.

"Our President's call ruined the plans of the coup plotters"

Stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call to take to the squares on the night of the coup attempt was a historical example of leadership, Kızıltoprak said that this call disrupted all the plans of the coup plotters.

Stating that the nation filled the squares with confidence in its leader, Kızıltoprak stated that the citizens defended their state, democracy and legitimate government, and said, "On the night of July 15, our nation integrated with its leader and protected its state." he said.

Kızıltoprak said that every segment of society was united in unity on the night of July 15, and added that women, young people, elderly, farmers, workers and civil servants kept democracy watch in the squares.

Stating that millions of people came to the squares upon President Erdoğan's call, Kızıltoprak said that citizens walked in front of the tanks, braved the bullets, and defended democracy with Turkish flags in their hands. Stating that some citizens supported the national resistance by reciting salas from the minarets, Kızıltoprak stated that that night, everyone knew that if the homeland was lost, the nation would face a great disaster.

"No authority spoke that night. A leader spoke that night, a nation spoke. No title spoke, only the nation spoke," said Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak said that July 15 went down in history as the night when the state-nation integration was experienced in the strongest way.

Stating that July 15 taught many important lessons, Rector Kızıltoprak said that the first of these showed that the greatest power of the state is the nation.

Stating that the Turkish nation does not hesitate to give their lives for the sake of their homeland when necessary, Rector Kızıltoprak stated that the love of the homeland, the love of the flag, the spirit of national unity and the cause of Islam are united in the common conscience of millions of people.

Stating that July 15 was also a day of great pain, Kızıltoprak said that they commemorated the martyrs with mercy and gratitude and the veterans with gratitude.

Stating that the names of the martyrs are kept alive in the streets, squares and university campuses, Kızıltoprak stated that prayers will continue to be sent to the souls of the martyrs by reading the Holy Quran in the commemoration programs.

Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak said, "Victory is ours; because the will is ours, the state is ours, the republic is ours, the flag is ours, the homeland is ours, the future is ours.
