Experts state that all clauses of contracts to be signed with wedding venues, in particular, must be read carefully, and details that could lead to a loss of rights should not be overlooked.

Mahmut Şahin, President of the Consumers' Union, stated that standard contracts offered by wedding venues are often signed by consumers without detailed examination. Şahin emphasized that couples should not only read the existing clauses but also secure their own demands by having them written into the contract.

Cancellation and deposit practices are among the most common sources of disputes in wedding organizations. Therefore, it is emphasized that the contract must clearly state the conditions under which the paid deposit and other fees will be refunded if the organization is canceled.

Mahmut Şahin stated that if a wedding is canceled 31 days or more before the organization date, the consumer has the right to receive a full refund of the fee paid. He added that clearly stating this right in the contract would prevent potential disputes.

Şahin also stated that for cancellations made less than 30 days before the wedding, businesses may apply certain deductions, and the rate of these deductions should be clearly and understandably written in the contract.
