Chickpea harvest has started in Edirne's Hacıumur village. While the first crops of the season were being collected with the combine harvesters entering the fields, producers stated that they were satisfied with this year's yield.
The farmer, who started the harvest shift, stated that the rainfall throughout the year had a positive impact on wheat production, especially chickpeas. Producers said that both product quality and yield met expectations.
Chickpea producer Umut Oral stated that the timely rainfall this year contributed positively to the products and said, "We have started our harvest. The yield of chickpeas is quite good this year. Thanks to the regular rainfall, our fields had a fruitful season. Our yield is above our expectations. I hope the rest of the season will continue in the same way."
Producer Mert Kıyga stated that they had a satisfactory season in chickpeas and wheat and said, "We are pleased with the yield of both chickpeas and wheat this year. The product quality is also quite good. It makes us happy to receive the reward of our labor. I wish all our farmers an accident-free, fruitful and profitable harvest season."
