A father, his son and a person were in danger of drowning when they entered the dam lake to cool off in Kovancılar district of Elazığ. While the father and the other person were saved by their own means, the lifeless body of the 18-year-old young man lost in the water was found.
The incident took place in Keban Dam Lake in Muratbağı village of Kovancılar district. According to the information obtained, around 18.30, the father, his 18-year-old son Arda İpek, and a person next to them entered the dam lake to cool off and started struggling in the water. While the father and the other person managed to get to the shore with their own means, 18-year-old Arda İpek disappeared. After those who went ashore reported the situation, health, gendarmerie, AFAD and diver police from the Underwater Group Chief of the Elazığ Provincial Police Department were dispatched to the scene. The teams arrived at the scene and launched a coordinated search and rescue operation at the point where the young man disappeared. As a result of the activities carried out by diver police and search and rescue teams, the lifeless body of 18-year-old Arda İpek was found. The lifeless body of the young man, who was taken out of the water by the teams, was taken to the morgue of Fırat University Hospital for autopsy after the examination by the public prosecutor. - ELAZIG
