The extreme heat that increased in Güllüce village of Palu district of Elazığ led the village people to produce a refreshing and entertaining solution for children. As the temperatures rose above seasonal norms in the summer months, the village elders showed exemplary solidarity and blocked the stream water with stones, creating a natural pool. The pool, which was prepared entirely by collective effort, quickly became the favorite meeting point of the children in the village.
