A 54-year-old woman, who was in danger of drowning in the sea in Ocaklar District of Balıkesir's Erdek district, died in the hospital where she was taken.
According to the information obtained, Ayşe K., who came to Ocaklar District from Istanbul for a holiday, started struggling in the water after swimming in the sea. Upon notice from the surrounding people, medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Ayşe K., whose first aid was performed at the scene, was taken to Erdek Neyyire Sıtkı State Hospital by ambulance. However, despite all the intervention of doctors, he could not be saved.
Ayşe K.'s body was sent to Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
