Ergene Mayor Müge Yıldız Topak published a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his message, Topak stated that July 15 was not only the day when a coup attempt was foiled, but also a historical turning point in which the nation showed to the whole world that it would never compromise on its independence.
Stating that the cherished memory of the martyrs and the sacrifices of the veterans will always be kept alive, Topak said, "The most important duty for us is to protect this trust, protect our unity and solidarity under all circumstances, and leave a strong, peaceful and independent Türkiye to our future generations." he said.
Topak stated that he commemorated all the martyrs, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with mercy and gratitude and expressed his gratitude to the veterans.
Çorlu Mayor Ahmet Sarıkurt attended the ashure and lokma event organized by Cem Foundation Yenice Branch.
Sarıkurt, who came together with the citizens at the event held at the Cem Evi in Yenice District, drew attention to the importance of sharing and solidarity.
Sarıkurt stated that he was pleased to meet with citizens in the organization that reinforces unity and solidarity.
Sarıkurt thanked Cem Foundation Yenice Branch managers and those who contributed to the organization and stated that such events that contribute to the strengthening of unity and solidarity are important.

Sarıkurt met with the victims of the natural gas explosion
Çorlu Mayor Ahmet Sarıkurt met with the residents of Adalet Apartment, who were affected by the natural gas explosion that occurred last week.
Sarıkurt, who listened to the demands of the apartment residents at the meeting held in the municipality service building, expressed his wishes for a quick recovery.
Stating that the municipality supported the citizens with all its resources after the explosion, Sarıkurt said that the teams were on duty in the field from the first moment.
Stating that activities are continuing to eliminate grievances, Sarıkurt noted that technical and social support activities will continue in coordination.
While the demands of the apartment residents were evaluated at the meeting, plans for the needs were also discussed.

Registration for the new term of free summer courses organized by Ergene Municipality has started.
Ergene Mayor Müge Yıldız Topak stated in her statement that training will be provided in various branches for children, young people and adults in courses that attract great interest every year.
Stating that courses for education, arts, sports and vocational training will be organized free of charge, Topak noted that they aim to use the summer holiday as an opportunity to learn and gain new skills.
Stating that they aim to contribute to children and young people discovering their talents, Topak stated that they attach importance to women's participation in production by acquiring a profession and supporting the family economy.
Topak invited all Ergene people to attend free summer courses.
