"15 July Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Center" was opened with a ceremony in Erzincan.
The center, which was prepared at the Provincial Public Library under the leadership of the Governorship and under the coordination of the Presidential Directorate of Communications Erzincan Regional Directorate, welcomes its visitors within the scope of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events.
Digital projection applications, chronological memory area, photography and book exhibition in the center allow visitors to relive the night of July 15 from different aspects.
Governor Hamza Aydoğdu, who opened and visited the center, received information from the authorities about the activities carried out and experienced digital applications.
After visiting the center, Aydoğdu told journalists that with the photo exhibition prepared on the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, instead of remembering the pain, they conveyed to the visitors how Türkiye overcame this difficult process and how the treacherous coup attempt was eliminated under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Inviting those who want to see what happened in the coup attempt to the center, Aydoğdu said, "If we understand well, understand and make sense of the troubles that the Republic of Turkey has gone through and explain this to the next generations, hopefully such troubles and coup attempts that we condemn will not happen to us. That is why we all have important things to do together. To protect our unity and solidarity. We must have full loyalty to our flag, our state. If our loyalty is to our state and our state." Governor Aydoğdu said, "On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy, gratitude and prayer all our martyrs who heroically defended these lands and were martyred on July 15. May God be pleased with them. If our President had not led this nation that day and encouraged them to go out to the streets, perhaps Turkey would have been in a different dimension today." he said.
The opening ceremony was attended by 3rd Army Chief of Staff and Garrison Commander Major General Murat Ataç, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Rector Prof. Dr. Akın Levent, public institution managers, provincial heads of political parties and representatives of non-governmental organizations attended.
