In the program organized within the scope of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day events in Erzurum, the precious families of the 15 July martyrs, heroic veterans and protocol members came together.
Speaking in the program, Governor Aydın Baruş stated that our nation wrote a great epic that went down in history by protecting democracy, national will and independence in the treacherous coup attempt of July 15. Stating that they commemorated the martyrs and veterans together with the citizens on the anniversary of July 15, Governor Baruş expressed his satisfaction in sharing the same table with the families of the martyrs and veterans.
Addressing the families of the martyrs, Governor Aydın Baruş said, "You are members of our family. You have a special place in our hearts," and said that they commemorate our martyrs who sacrificed their most valuable trusts for the sake of the homeland, nation and flag, with mercy and gratitude. Governor Aydın Baruş commemorated the Special Operations Police Officers Murat Ellik, Yakup Sürücü and Edip Zengin, Oğuzhan Yaşar and Beytullah Yeşilay, who were martyred while fighting against traitors on the night of July 15, with mercy, gratitude and gratitude and said, "May God have mercy on them abundantly and reward them with the greatest reward." he said.
Governor Aydın Baruş thanked Abdülhekim Aydın, Ahmet Kağızmanlı, Furkan Şimşek, İsmail Dilekçi, Onurcan Akçay, Rıza Demir, Zekeriya Çığlı, Yusuf Ceylan and Mustafa Özyılmaz, who showed a heroic stance by sacrificing their lives in the same struggle, and emphasized that veterans are the honor and pride of our nation.
