A meaningful program was held in Erzurum on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. The theater show called "15 July Epic", organized by Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services under the auspices of Erzurum Governorship, was held at İbrahim Erkal Cultural Center.

The program started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. Then, the recitation of the Holy Quran was performed.

In the theater show they prepared with great effort and dedication, 30 children under protection and care brought the courage, spirit of unity and solidarity and determination to protect democracy demonstrated by the Turkish nation on the night of July 15 to the stage with the universal language of art.

Aykut: "Transmitting our national and spiritual values ​​to future generations is one of our most important responsibilities."

Making a statement to journalists within the scope of the program, Erzurum Family and Social Services Provincial Director Hasan Aykut stated that the theater show was brought to the stage after a three-month intensive training and preparation process.

Drawing attention to the importance of transferring national and spiritual values ​​to children, Aykut said, "Our children brought this meaningful show to the stage after a three-month intensive training and preparation process. It is extremely valuable for us that our children recognize our national and spiritual values, learn the important turning points of our history and prepare for the future with this awareness. July 15 is one of the strongest examples of how our nation protects its homeland, flag and democracy in unity and solidarity. We care about transferring this spirit to future generations."

The meaningful performance of the children received great applause from the audience.

Özay: "It is a great pride that our children, who do not remember that night, carry this spirit to these days."

Speaking after the performance, Erzurum Deputy Governor Didem Dinç Özay drew attention to the importance of the staged performance and said: "Today, we witnessed here how our children, who were perhaps 2-3 years old but did not remember that night, performed with great spirit and made us relive that day. In fact, what made July 15 so meaningful was the glorious spirit we displayed that night, that noble stance from our deep-rooted history, our citizens in the streets." His acumen and his great example of resistance under the leadership of our President.

Today, years later, our children, who were just babies at that time, can carry this example of resistance to this day with this spirit; It gave us great pride to see how they protected their homeland, nation, unity and solidarity. They once again made us feel the pride of carrying the glorious blood of the Turkish nation. We thank everyone who contributed. We are ready to work together with our youth in order to pass this glorious history on to future generations.

On this occasion, I wish God's mercy to all our martyrs on July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day, and I wish our veterans a healthy and peaceful life with their families. If we can carry out this commemoration program here today in peace, it is thanks to the selfless struggles of our heroes that night. May God bless them all.
