Within the scope of the "Art Encouragement and Life with Art Program" carried out by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, 200 tiles, illumination and marbling works prepared by women relatives of martyrs in Erzurum were exhibited in Çifte Minareli Madrasah on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
200 works prepared by 25 women relatives of martyrs who received training within the scope of the program attracted great attention from visitors. Erzurum Governor Aydın Baruş also visited the exhibition, examined the works and received information from the authorities about the activities carried out.
Family and Social Services Provincial Director Hasan Aykut stated that the relatives of martyrs and veterans are the most valuable trusts of the nation and said, "With the unifying and healing power of art, our women relatives of martyrs created valuable works. It is a source of pride for us that 200 works are exhibited in the historical Double Minaret Madrasa within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day."
Women relatives of martyrs also expressed that meeting with art gave them peace of mind and that they reflected their feelings and longings in their works, and thanked the Ministry of Family and Social Services and Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
The exhibition brought together the spirit of national unity and solidarity of July 15 with the unifying power of art. - ERZURUM
