Rıfat Çetin (42), who injured Çisem Çetin (41) in the heart with a knife when she went to her husband's house in ANTALYA to pick up her children, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for 'intentional wounding'.
The incident took place at night on October 1, 2025, in Kırcami location of Muratpaşa district. Çisem Çetin, who made many applications to the police station claiming that she was subjected to violence by her husband, whom she was in the process of divorcing, went to the house where her husband was staying with her mother and father after her children called her and said that they had been beaten by their father. During the argument that broke out at home, Çisem Çetin allegedly attacked her husband Rıfat Ç. He was stabbed in the heart by. Çisem Çetin's father was injured in his arm. Çetin, who was taken to the hospital, had a rupture in his heart membrane due to the stabbing and was taken into surgery. Çetin fought for his life in intensive care for 5 days. Rıfat Çetin, who was detained after the incident, was sent to prison.
Detained defendant Rıfat Çetin appeared before the judge at Antalya 1st High Criminal Court on the charge of "attempted intentional murder against his wife". In his defense, Rıfat Çetin stated that he had no intent to kill and asked for his acquittal.
Çisem Çetin, on the other hand, stated that she had received treatment for months as a result of her injury and that she was in fear and that her complaint was still ongoing and demanded that she be punished in the harshest way.
