Citizens who participated intensively in the commemoration program organized by Eskişehir Governorship on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day filled the square with Turkish flags in their hands.

The July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day program held in Governorship Square witnessed great enthusiasm with the intense participation of the city's people. Thousands of citizens filled the square with Turkish flags in their hands and gave a message of unity and solidarity in the meaningful night, which started with the marches of the Mehter band and continued with the reading of the National Anthem and the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Addressing the crowd in the square, Eskişehir Governor Erdinç Yılmaz stated that July 15 was a great victory of national will and democracy. Drawing attention to the historical role and patriotism of Eskişehir, Governor Yılmaz said, "Eskişehir is the land of foundation and liberation, where three of the Five Battles took place, whose soil was kneaded with the blood of martyrs, and which became the symbol of courage, love of the homeland and national stance. The noble blood in your veins rose once again on the night of July 15 and did not give way to traitors. While the treacherous FETO terrorist organization is making plans to take over our state, only one thing should be taken into account." "That night, the sons of our country took to the streets saying, 'If we die, we become martyrs, if we stay, we become veterans.' Just like in Çanakkale, Sakarya and Kut'ül Amare, the steps we took today are the first steps of the Turkish Century. Our duty is to raise our country above the level of contemporary civilizations by being more united."

Governor Yılmaz completed his speech by commemorating the martyr Fatih Dalgıç from Eskişehir and all the martyrs.
