Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) has achieved great success within the scope of the 2025 Call for Proposals of the European Union Innovation and Technology Institute Higher Education Initiative (EIT Higher Education Initiative). The INNO-STEM BRIDGE project, in which ESOGÜ took part as a consortium partner with the initiatives of ESOGÜ International Relations Unit, was deemed worthy of support with a budget of 1.6 million Euros.

With this project, to which ESOGÜ applied for the first time and was entitled to receive support within the scope of the European Union Horizon Europe Program, ESOGÜ became a member of the EIT Higher Education Initiative within the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. The project titled "Building Sustainable Innovation Ecosystems in the STEM Field and Developing Deep Technology Entrepreneurial Talents"; It aims to transform talents, research outputs and innovative ideas in the STEM field into real market and social value. The international consortium, which includes 8 institutions from Ukraine, Sweden, North Macedonia and Türkiye, aims to transform the knowledge production capacity of universities into a stronger impact on the axis of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. While 138 project proposals were submitted to the 2025 call of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Higher Education Initiative, only 35 of them were eligible for support. With the INNO-STEM BRIDGE project, a strong road map focused on "From Laboratory to Market" will be created, covering STEM education, prototyping, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and market access. While ESOGÜ will undertake the management and coordination of the relevant work package through the International Relations Unit in the project, ESOGÜ Technology Transfer Office Application and Research Center (ETTOM) will take an active role in the design and implementation of special trainings for TTO/BTO professionals.
