Police officer Fatih Dalgıç (26), who was martyred in the conflict that broke out at Çengelköy Sabancı Police Station, where he went to help his colleagues during the coup attempt of the FETO Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, was commemorated at his grave in his hometown Eskişehir.
Fatih Dalgıç, one of the 5 children of İsmet and Asiye Dalgıç couple living in Alikan District of Çifteler district of Eskişehir, served in Istanbul for 5 years after becoming a police officer. Dalgıç was later assigned to Şırnak. Dalgıç, who was on duty at Şırnak Provincial Police Department but was in Istanbul on leave on the night of the July 15 coup attempt, went to Çengelköy Sabancı Police Station to support and help his colleagues. Diver was shot and martyred by the fire opened by the coup plotters.
Martyr police officer Fatih Dalgıç was commemorated on the anniversary of his martyrdom. Eskişehir Governor Erdinç Yılmaz, Combat Air Forces and Garrison Commander General Rafet Dalkıran, Tepebaşı District Governor Sadettin Yücel, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Erhan Demir, Provincial Police Chief Tolga Yılmaz, Çifteler Mayor Zehra Konakcı and the martyr's mother Asiye Dalgıç attended the commemoration at his grave in Alikan District of Çifteler district. At the commemoration, flowers were left on the grave of martyr police officer Fatih Dalgıç. While the respect was fired after the prayer, the participants of the program visited the house of martyr Dalgıç's family in the same neighborhood.
