Minister Fidan, who started his speech by touching on the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, evaluated the process since 2016. Stating that the state and the nation entered into a new struggle for liberation on and after July 15, Fidan said that a heavy blow was dealt to domestic and foreign terrorist networks, especially FETO. Fidan stated that the state, which was eliminated from FETO, quickly returned to its original codes and entered the service of the nation.
Emphasizing that the strengthening of the nation's unwavering will under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan played a major role in clearing FETO from the system, Fidan said, "Hopefully, the measures we will take and the regulations we will make will ensure that such structures do not take part in the system again, neither today nor in the future. All our efforts are in this direction."
Fidan stated that in their previous positions, they fought against FETO in a different framework, and in their current position, they worked day and night to prevent the organization from being able to take shelter anywhere in the international arena and to prevent it from continuing its illegitimate spying activities and destructive actions against Turkey.
Pointing out that FETO continues its fight against the state and the leader elected by the people, although it is a structure whose use value has expired, Minister Fidan stated that the organization is in cooperation with international dirty power centers while doing this. Describing this situation as 'a disgrace', Fidan stated that the leaders of the organization are literally holding hostage a mass of people living in exile abroad and said:
"They need to wake up again, get out of the illusion, feel the true true love of homeland, true religious thought and life again and return to the country with loyalty to the nation and rebel against the organization. As long as this base that does not rebel against the organization exists, the organization will continue to serve foreign services by using their existence, and will realize its own market value from there. But hopefully, just as our country, our nation, our state was successful in the fight against FETO with its historical strategic culture, understanding and depth, so will all the future." "I wholeheartedly believe that he will be successful in similar attacks."
Stating that they will go to Kiev after their statements and take a 10-hour train journey due to the closed airspace, Fidan also touched upon their diplomatic contacts on Ukraine. Reminding that they visited Moscow last month and conveyed President Erdoğan's messages and received perspectives from their Russian counterparts and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing war, Fidan said; He stated that the Ukraine issue was at the center of Trump's visit, the NATO summit held immediately afterwards, and the last meeting of the Coalition of Volunteers in Paris. Fidan stated that they met with European leaders in Paris, where he was on behalf of the President, and had a constant exchange of views.
'Türkiye IS IN THE HOW TO STOP WAR'
On the European side, the question of war is often 'How to support the war effort?' and 'How to stop war?' Stating that the approach was approached from two different perspectives, Minister Fidan said that Türkiye has been asking the question 'How to stop the war?' from the perspective of President Erdoğan since the beginning of the war. He underlined that he made an intense effort in his field. Speaking about the goals of his visit to Kiev, Fidan said, "In this trip, frankly, taking first-hand opinions of our Ukrainian counterparts and President Zelenskiy, conveying the messages of our President and of course conveying our own observations; that is, explaining to the parties what we think, how we look, has always yielded positive results."
Reminding that Türkiye hosted Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul last year, Fidan reminded that they had previously implemented various bringing together and facilitating activities such as prisoner exchange and the grain agreement that enabled the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. Emphasizing that all these steps have been built upon each other to reach today, Minister Fidan added that he believes that this visit will make a positive contribution to the ongoing efforts.
