The police statement of singer Haluk Levent, who was detained within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Dude Association and was referred to the courthouse along with 22 suspects today, has been revealed.
In his statement to the police, Haluk Levent responded to the "fraud" allegation made by Başaran Holding Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hüseyin Başaran, against him.
Hüseyin Başaran claimed that Haluk Levent had said to him, "We will build a dormitory for orphaned girls" and enabled the transfer of 22 properties, which were claimed to be worth approximately 60 million dollars, to the name of the Ahbap Association, but these properties were not used for their intended purpose.
In his statement taken at the police station, Haluk Levent argued that the real estate transaction between him and Başaran was a matter of debt and not an act of fraud.
Levent said, “I was informed about the investigation carried out against me and the accusations made.
The real estate transaction between Hüseyin Başaran, one of the complainants of the file, and us is related to the credit/receivable issue. There is no fraudulent activity.
I consider that the issue is a matter of legal dispute.
In addition, the real estate subject to the complaint is not in the amount claimed. Some payments were also made by me.
I do not want to make any other statement regarding the accusation. "I want to give my detailed statement at the Public Prosecutor's Office," he said.
