In HATAY, 15 illegal immigrants were caught in 4 vehicles stopped by police teams as a result of pursuit. 4 suspects detained regarding the incident were sent to prison.
Within the scope of the activities carried out by Hatay Police Department teams in the fight against immigrant smuggling, 4 vehicles that were followed on the Antakya-İskenderun and Samandağ-Antakya roads were stopped. During vehicle checks, 15 irregular immigrants who were determined to have entered Türkiye illegally were caught. 5 suspects regarding the incident were detained. While 4 suspects were arrested by the court after their procedures at the police station, one suspect was released on condition of judicial control.
On the other hand, a total of 428 thousand 246 lira administrative fines were imposed on vehicle drivers due to traffic rule violations, while 4 vehicles were banned from traffic. The captured irregular immigrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Immigration Management after their procedures.
