Hero MotoCorp Limited has approved investing up to 1,000 crore rupees in its subsidiary Ather Energy Limited. The investment will be made through the allotment of preferred shares or convertible securities. The transaction will be conducted in an all-cash manner and may include compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS) and warrants.

The investment is subject to approval by Ather Energy's board of directors and shareholders. Hero MotoCorp expects the investment to be completed within 15 days from receipt of final approval. Hero MotoCorp is an existing shareholder in Ather Energy and holds 29.48% of the company's paid-up capital as on June 30, 2026. The post-investment share ratio will depend on the preference issue price and the possible issuance of additional shares.

Ather Energy designs and manufactures electric two-wheelers, operates its own charging infrastructure and offers battery energy management services.
