The march themed "Our Will, Our Victory" organized by the Presidential Directorate of Communications within the scope of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day has ended.
July 15 Martyrs Bridge, one of the symbolic places of the fight against FETO's treacherous coup attempt in 2016, brought together thousands of citizens this year as well.
Organized by the Presidency Directorate of Communications, the "Democracy and Martyrs' Commemoration March" with the theme "Our Will, Our Victory" started at 10:00 near the metrobus stop in Zincirlikuyu.
In the march supported by the Governorship of Istanbul, thousands of participants walking with Turkish flags followed the approximately 4-kilometer route on the July 15 Martyrs Bridge.
The march ended at the 15 July Martyrs' Hall, located at the Anatolian Side exit of the bridge.
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Vice President of Communications Ferhat Pirinççi, Governor of Istanbul Davut Gül, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Women's Branch President Saliha Demirer, Deputy Governor Ünal Kılıçarslan and Istanbul University Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Bülent Zülfikar also participated in the march.
The "15 July Democracy and Martyrs' Commemoration Run" was also held under the coordination of the Turkish Athletics Federation.
Professional athletes and athletes worked hard in the race, which started from the European Side entrance of the bridge.
The athletes who completed the course in first place entered the monument area with Turkish flags in their hands, accompanied by takbir.
They were welcomed here by Istanbul Deputy Governor Mustafa Kaya and 15 July Association President İsmail Hakkı Turunç.
Kaya presented commemorative medals to the athletes who completed the run.
The athletes stood in front of the monument with their medals and stood in silence.
