Istanbul Governorship organized an award ceremony for the students who came first with 500 full points in the central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS).
The ceremony in the garden of the Governorship was attended by 101 students, 70 of whom were from private and 31 from public schools, who came first by answering all the questions correctly in the exam, and their families.
Governor Davut Gül said that they held many events here.
Stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to all students, teachers and families, Gül stated that 101 students in Istanbul were more successful in the exam than other students.
Stating that the Istanbul Children's Foundation carries out activities for successful, gifted and disadvantaged children, Gül said that in this context, they provide scholarships to students who study both in Istanbul and Anatolia and choose high schools in this city, throughout their education life, with the "Children of the Türkiye Century" project.
Governor Gül said, "We have 1370 students who received 500 full points in the last 3 years and are studying in high schools in Istanbul. We are giving it to all of them. We will give it to all our students who made their choice this year. We estimate that approximately 1700 of our students will benefit from this scholarship. We are also giving 4 tickets under the sponsorship of AnadoluJet to students who came here from Anatolia and received full scholarships to continue their education in Istanbul." he said.
Pointing out that they have no intention of changing, transforming or channeling the children here, Gül noted that they want them to grow up as compassionate, conscientious young people who have not lost their ties with this country.

Provincial Director of National Education Murat Mücahit Yentür said that they all shared in a historical ceremony, joy and beauty in front of the historical building of the Governorship.
Congratulating the mothers, fathers and teachers who are more excited than their children during this process, Yentür said, "The excitement and anxiety do not end. ???????Now, 'Which school should we choose?' You are in an intense, sweet rush. I hope they will be placed in good schools that will lead to good and beneficial results for them." he said.
Stating that it is extremely valuable to reward students who show effort, Yentür continued as follows:
"Life is not just about the questions or the 5 choices we offer to our children. Therefore, this success in the academic field is of course undeniable, but it is not an indispensable feature that will cover the whole of life. The most important purpose of education is to raise beautiful and good people who will bring together their mind and heart, who will bring their mind and conscience and heart together, who will produce good and good works for humanity in every aspect of their lives."
Yentür pointed out that 80 thousand people were killed in Gaza today with the most modern technological bombs, weapons and planes, and explained that this is why they have a love for this land.
"Hopefully, these children of ours will combine the sweat of their brows with the sweat of their minds." Yentür said, and noted that they will carry the flag of the country higher by combining this spirit taken from the martyrs in Çanakkale with knowledge, technology and conscience within the scope of the Türkiye Century Education Model.
Governor Davut Gül and his wife Gülden Gül presented awards consisting of gold coins, watches and certificates of achievement to the students who came first in schools in Istanbul.
Yentür and the members of the board of trustees of the Istanbul Children's Foundation also distributed awards to the students.
