New situations are being experienced within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Friends Association. In line with the investigation, the president of the association, Haluk Levent, was detained in Bursa by the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch Directorate on charges of "opposition to the law on associations", "laundering of assets resulting from crime" and "membership of an organisation".
While the repercussions of the incident continued, new information about Haluk Levent was obtained during the investigations. According to the findings, it was determined that Levent bet millions of liras on Bayern Munich matches using accounts belonging to other people.
In line with the findings obtained, it was determined that the same choice was constantly made in these bets worth millions of liras placed on Bayern Munich through other people's accounts. Investigation processes regarding the issue continue.
