Martyrs were commemorated in Izmir and surrounding provinces on the occasion of July 15 - Last Minute

A commemoration program was organized at the martyrs' cemeteries in Izmir, Uşak, Denizli, Aydın and Manisa on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

The program, organized at Kadifekale Air Martyrs Cemetery in Izmir, started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.

The Holy Quran was read for the martyrs and prayers were made by Provincial Mufti Mevlüt Haliloğlu.

Governor Süleyman Elban signed the Air Martyrdom Visitor Book.

Elban, Aegean Army and Garrison Commander General İrfan Özsert, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay and protocol members left carnations on the graves.

A commemoration program was organized in two places in Uşak on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

The Holy Quran was read, prayers were said, and carnations were left on the graves of the martyrs at the Uşak Martyrs' Cemetery in Şekerevleri Cemetery.

Then, they went to Yoncalı, the village of Mehmet Çetin, the protection police officer who was martyred in the attack on the hotel where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stayed in Marmaris.

Here, the Holy Quran was read, prayers were said, and carnations were left on the grave.

Uşak Governor Serdar Kartal, Deputy Mayor Hatice Terekeci Özkan and the provincial protocol attended the programs.

The Holy Quran was read and prayers were made at the martyrs' cemetery in Asri Cemetery in Denizli.

Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger and protocol members left carnations on the graves of martyred soldiers and police officers.

Köşger and his entourage later visited Alptekin Esirgün, a veteran of the coup attempt, at his home.

In the program held at the martyrs' cemetery in Tellide Cemetery in Aydın, Governor Osman Varol, Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, Garrison Commander Colonel Metin Şimşek and martyrs' and veterans' associations presented a wreath to the monument.

After Governor Varol signed the martyrdom book, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made.

Protocol members then went to the Kemer Cemetery martyrs' cemetery and left carnations on the graves.

Governor Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Manisa Deputy Tamer Akkal, provincial protocol, relatives of martyrs and veterans attended the commemoration ceremony at Manisa Garrison and Police Martyrs' Cemetery.

Provincial Mufti Şükrü Kabukçu read the Quran and prayed for the martyrs.

Then, protocol members left carnations on the graves of the martyrs.

Mawlid was read at noon in Hatuniye Mosque, and after the prayer, lokma was offered to the citizens.
