Iraqi Airlines' first scheduled flight from Kirkuk to Antalya was held today.
Kirkuk Airport Press Office Manager Herdi Samed said in a statement to the AA correspondent that the first scheduled flight from Kirkuk to Antalya started today.
Samed stated that the Iraqi Airways plane departed from Baghdad, landed in Kirkuk, and then flew to Antalya Airport.
Stating that the flights will be organized one day a week, Samed noted that the number of flights is planned to be increased gradually in the future.
Samed stated that the Iraqi Airlines plane departed from Kirkuk Airport to Antalya at 14.30.
Kirkuk Airport was put into service on October 16, 2022, with the participation of the then Iraqi Minister of Transport, and hosted the first international flights to Türkiye in the same year.
