- İYİ Party Isparta Press Spokesperson Ülkem Baş announced to the public the project called "ISPARTARIM UNION" in order to solve the structural problems in agricultural production in Isparta. Baş said, "We aim for a large system where the storage, pricing, insurance and export model, starting from agricultural inputs, is implemented with serious rules."
Making a statement after the İYİ Party Provincial Directorate Board of Directors meeting, Baş stated that they commemorated the martyrs with mercy and the veterans with gratitude and gratitude on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Baş stated that the agenda of the Board of Directors meeting was the agricultural future of Isparta, from cherries to apples, from roses to apricots.
Stating that manufacturers face similar problems every year, Baş stated that constantly talking about existing problems does not produce solutions. Baş said:
"It is time to experience the same grievances every year and then stop just talking about the same problems. It is no longer beneficial to make the same sentences at the end of each harvest period. Instead of criticizing the grievances of the rose producers after the rose harvest, the losses of the farmers after the apple, cherries and sour cherry harvests, and the collapse of prices when the warehouses are full, we, as the İYİ Party, did what we always do, we decided to appear before the public with a project. Therefore, today we are sharing with the public a strong and permanent model that will radically change the agricultural future of our city. The name of our project is ISPARTARIM UNION."
Emphasizing that the project has a supra-political understanding, Baş said that successful practices in the world were examined.
Baş said, "We do not claim to have rediscovered America. There are successful examples in the world. We see one of the strongest examples of this in the Netherlands. They have achieved the structuring with a cooperative culture, a common production approach, science, technology and a strong organizational structure. There, farmers market their products not one by one, but with the collective power of millions of tons. The price is determined by the producer, not the trader. We are aiming for a large system starting from agricultural inputs, where the storage, pricing, insurance and export model are implemented with serious rules."
Explaining that the first step regarding the project will be a workshop with broad participation, Baş said that they are planning to organize the ISPARTARIM UNION Workshop, to which civil and local governments, chambers and commodity exchanges, universities, producer unions and cooperatives will be invited.
Baş said, "No project for which the first step has not been taken will be anything more than a matter of political polemic. We consider that the first step should be a workshop. The scope and content of our workshop will be shaped by taking the opinions of solution partner institutions and organizations. The workshop is planned to be held in October or November."
Making evaluations about July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day in his statement, Baş said, "In our opinion, July 15 is a matter of state and nation. It would not be appropriate to expect every party to share the same opinion on every issue."
Emphasizing that the İYİ Party is against all kinds of terrorism, Baş said, "Our stance is against all kinds of actions and all kinds of terrorism against the state of the Republic of Turkey, the existence of the nation and the division of the homeland. Whether it is called FETO or PKK, it does not change anything for us. In our opinion, there is no difference between the terrorists who rained bombs on the roof of the Parliament yesterday and the damage caused by the slogans chanted under the roof of the Parliament by mentioning the name of the head of the terrorist organization under the roof of the Parliament today."
