Martyrs' cemeteries were visited in Kahramanmaraş and Kilis on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer and accompanying protocol members visited the martyrs' cemetery in Şeyh Adil Cemetery.
Governor Ünlüer and his entourage left carnations on the graves and chatted with the families of the martyrs for a while. During the visit, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were said.
Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fırat Görgel, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Ali Gemalmaz, 2nd Armored Brigade Commander Brigadier General Mahmut Sert, Provincial Police Chief Hasan Yiğit, Turkish War Disabled Veterans Martyr Widows and Orphans Association Kahramanmaraş Branch President Mehmet Ali Küpeli, district governors, district mayors and political party representatives attended the program.
At the ceremony held at the martyrs' cemetery in Kilis, a moment of silence was observed and the National Anthem was sung.
After reading the Quran, prayers were made and carnations were left on the graves of the martyrs.
Kilis Governor Ömer Kalaylı, Deputy Mayor Cihan Çağlar Yaşar, Chief Public Prosecutor Emre Kaya, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Ersin Özbalcı, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Halil Coşkun, Provincial Police Chief Aykut Korkmaz and other relevant persons attended the program.
