In the public order practices carried out by police teams in Karaman in the last week, 12 of the 16 people wanted for various crimes were sent to prison.
According to the information obtained, upon the instructions of the Karaman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Provincial Police Department teams carried out public order and traffic inspections throughout the city between 6-14 July 2026. During the activities carried out, a total of 16 thousand 597 people were questioned about GBT. As a result of the inspections, 12 of the 16 people who were found to be wanted for various crimes were arrested by the judicial authorities to whom they were referred and sent to prison. During the inspections carried out by the traffic teams, legal action was taken against 69 drivers for driving without a license or with an insufficient license, 19 drivers for driving in a way that would disrupt public peace and order, and 19 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol. During the controls, 207 vehicles were banned from traffic and the licenses of 26 drivers were confiscated. During the inspections, 5 unlicensed rifles, 30 pistol cartridges, 8 cutting and piercing tools, as well as 180 grams of bonsai material, 4 grams of bonzai raw materials, 60 grams of marijuana, 39 grams of liquid marijuana, 25 grams of methamphetamine and 1,350 synthetic pills were seized.
