Criticizing Türkiye's early elimination from the World Cup, Çilingiroğlu gave examples from the past. Reminding that his father and Ali Şen represented Türkiye in 1976, Çilingiroğlu said, "The man you call Ali Şen spoke seven languages, now he cannot speak Turkish and make a statement."
Continuing his words, Çilingiroğlu reminded that TFF does not have a representative in UEFA and said, "Who is Türkiye's representative in UEFA or FIFA? why not? Why are we not represented? So shouldn't we be represented? For example, the referee for this World Cup is coming from El Salvador. It does not come from Türkiye. Shouldn't we be represented? For example, has anyone ever thought about these? Have you ever thought about who represents Türkiye? I wonder if we don't need this in UEFA?
