The person who kicked a cat looked after by a shopkeeper in Samsun's İlkadım district, and whose moments were captured on the security camera, was sent to prison by the court. The arrested person told reporters after leaving the courthouse, "I was angry, I regret it."
The incident took place at around 20.30 yesterday evening, on Mustafa Zıvalı Boulevard, Derebahçe District, İlkadım district. According to the information obtained, the cat, which was cared for by a neighborhood shopkeeper, was kicked by a passerby while it was on the sidewalk. While the cat was thrown away by the kick, what happened was reflected on the security camera of a nearby workplace.
After the images emerged, neighborhood residents and shopkeepers reacted to the situation. Following the notice, the police identified the person who kicked the cat as D.G. (29) and detained him at night. D.G., whose statement was taken at Gazi Police Station, was taken to Samsun Courthouse today on the charge of "cruelty to animals".
D.G., who was referred to the court on duty by the prosecutor requesting his arrest, was sent to prison by the judgeship. While he was being taken to prison, journalists asked, "Why did you kick the cat?" When asked, the suspect said, "I was angry, I regret it." -SAMSUN
