It has been reported that 754 people have died and 366 patients have recovered so far in the epidemic declared on May 15. The report stated that 753 people are currently kept in isolation.
It was reported that the infection rate remained intense in Ituri province, which is the epicenter of the epidemic. It was stated that the emergence of new cases in Haut-Uele province indicates that the epidemic has spread further geographically, and it was emphasized that surveillance, diagnostic capacity and operational preparedness should be strengthened immediately.
