In Konya, Rahman Öztürk killed his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk and sister Esmanur Öztürk, with whom he had an argument at home, by cutting their throats with a knife.
The incident took place around 14:00 in Hilmi Dede Street, Işıklar District, central Selçuklu district. Rahman Öztürk's argument with his stepmother and sister at home resulted in murder.
Upon the notice of neighbors who heard the noise coming from the house, police and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the specified address. Upon examination by the teams entering the house, it was determined that Dursuniye Öztürk and her daughter Esmanur Öztürk, whose throats were cut with a knife, lost their lives. Murder suspect Rahman Öztürk was taken into custody by the police teams who arrived at the scene.
Fuat Öztürk, the father of Rahman Öztürk, who was at home when the moments of horror occurred and was bedridden, was also taken out of the house by the teams. Father Fuat Öztürk was taken to the hospital by ambulance to undergo a precautionary health check. A large-scale investigation initiated by the police forces regarding the incident continues.
