In KONYA, the bodies of Rahman Öztürk (30), who is claimed to have a psychological disorder, and his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk (58), whom he had an argument with and killed at home, and his sister Esmanur Öztürk (19), were sent off to their final journey. Rahman Öztürk, who was taken into custody, was sent to the courthouse.
The incident took place yesterday around 14:00 in Hilmi Dede Street, Işıklar District, central Selçuklu district. Rahman Öztürk killed his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk and sister Esmanur, with whom he had an argument at home, by cutting their throats with a knife. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the address upon the notice of neighbors who heard the noise. The teams entered the house and determined that Dursuyine Öztürk and her daughter Esmanur were dead. Father Fuat Öztürk, who was bedridden and was at home at the time of the incident, was taken to the hospital by ambulance for a precautionary health check.
The lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to Karapınar district after the autopsy performed at the Konya Forensic Medicine Institute. The bodies were buried in Reşadiye Neighborhood Cemetery today, after the prayer at noon.
On the other hand, Rahman Öztürk, who was detained by police teams after the incident, was also referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
