The forest fire that broke out in Kula district of MANİSA was taken under control in 4 hours with air and land intervention. An area of 15 hectares was damaged in the fire.
The fire broke out around 14:00 in the forest in the Çolaklar area of Balibey District of Kula. Upon the notice of the citizens who saw the smoke rising from the region, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Kula Fire Department teams and many teams affiliated with the Forest Management Directorate started activities. The fire, which spread over a wide area in a short time due to the wind, was intervened by many sprinklers, fire trucks and 1 helicopter. Neighborhood residents also supported the extinguishing activities with their tractors and water tankers.
After approximately 4 hours of intervention, the flames were taken under control. According to initial findings, 15 hectares of land were damaged in the fire. An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire.
