The opening and award ceremony of the inter-high school painting competition exhibition with the theme "Together - The Will United in One Night", hosted by Rami Library and organized in cooperation with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and the 15 July Association, was held.

According to the statement made by the library, the students of Başakşehir İTÜ İsmail Dede Efendi Fine Arts High School presented a musical concert at the event, which started after a moment of silence and the National Anthem.

In the program, the Holy Quran was read by the students of Asım Nesli Imam Hatip Secondary School, and then a movie about July 15 was shown.

Hikmet Feridun Aksu, Chairman of the 15 July Association Education Commission, whose views were included in the statement, stated that 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day is one of the strongest indicators of the nation's will for independence and that forgotten betrayals can be repeated again.

Wishing God's mercy on the martyrs, health and well-being to the veterans, Aksu congratulated all the students who participated in the competition.

Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education Branch Manager Ayşe Nur Çalıkcı stated that the nation wrote a great epic on the night of July 15 with its love of the homeland, love of the flag and unshakable faith.

"When it comes to our homeland, the rest is just details." Çalıkcı stated that the nation, acting with this understanding, took a determined stance against the treacherous coup attempt, and talked about President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call inviting the nation to the squares and the sacrifices made by the citizens.

Wishing mercy on the martyrs and expressing his gratitude to the veterans, Çalıkcı said, "It is not possible for a future that is not rooted in the past to survive." He emphasized that social memory has an important place in the education approach of the Ministry of National Education.

Following the speeches, awards were presented to the students who were successful in the inter-high school painting competition, and participation documents were presented to the students who participated in the competition.

Following the award ceremony, the exhibition was opened.

Protocol members and guests visited the exhibition of students' July 15-themed works and received information about the activities.

The exhibition can be visited in Rami Library A Corridor until July 24.
