Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) General Directorate aims to prevent possible floods with routine cleaning activities carried out in rainwater grids in 17 districts. Thanks to the drains that are cleared of mud, leaves and waste, the healthier operation of the rainwater infrastructure is ensured.
Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) General Directorate continues its routine maintenance and cleaning activities in rainwater grates throughout the province. The activities carried out within the program throughout the year aim to prevent possible blockages and floods while ensuring the healthy operation of the rainwater infrastructure.
MASKI General Directorate Sewage Department teams carry out regular cleaning activities in rainwater grids in 17 districts of Manisa. Within the scope of the work, mud, sediment, leaves and various wastes accumulated in the grates are cleaned and elements that may block the flow of water are eliminated. Thus, it is aimed to prevent the negativities that may occur especially during rainy periods and to ensure efficient operation of the rainwater infrastructure.
MASKİ General Directorate Sewerage Department Maintenance and Repair Branch Manager Emre Oğulcan Cantimur stated that the maintenance and cleaning activities are carried out in a planned manner throughout the year and said, "We continue our routine maintenance and cleaning activities with our teams in 17 districts of Manisa. Mud, leaves and various wastes that accumulate over time in the rainwater grids can block the flow of water and cause blockages. For this reason, we carry out our regular cleaning activities without interruption. We also expect sensitivity from our citizens about not throwing garbage in the rainwater grids and on the streets." he said.
Merkezefendi Neighborhood Headman Kemal Yavaş stated that regular cleaning of rainwater grates is of great importance for the neighborhood and said, "MASKİ teams routinely carry out grate cleaning activities in our neighborhood. These activities are of great importance in terms of healthy discharge of water, especially during heavy rains. In addition, the new rainwater grates built at the needed points have made a significant contribution to our neighborhood." he said.
Ferdane Kaya, a tradesman in the region, stated that they believe that possible problems will be prevented thanks to regular cleaning activities and thanked those who contributed.
Tradesman Mübeccel Yelkenci also expressed that the maintenance and cleaning activities carried out in the rainwater grids are important for both the neighborhood and the tradesmen and thanked the MASKİ teams. - MANISA
