The Ministry of National Education (MEB) delegation made contacts in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, and signed various cooperation protocols in order to develop cooperation between Türkiye and Mauritania in the field of education and culture.
Within the scope of the contacts attended by Deputy Minister of National Education Cihad Demirli and General Director of Higher Education and Overseas Education Faruk Berat Akçeşme, the Türkiye-Mauritania Education and Culture Forum was held in the capital Nouakchott.
Within the framework of the program, the "Mauritania with Documents Exhibition" was opened at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the book about the Islamic scholar Muhammad Mahmut Ibn Telamid was introduced and a panel was held.
Within the scope of the contacts, various protocols were signed between universities in Türkiye, Yunus Emre Institute and Mauritanian institutions to improve cooperation in the field of education.
In addition, the Ministry of Education delegation, which was accepted by the Mauritanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, evaluated the cooperation opportunities in the field of higher education.
In the last part of the program, the delegation shared the joy of the graduating students by attending the graduation ceremony of Nouakchott University Turkish Language and Literature Department held at Murabitun Congress Center.
