An administrative fine of 21 thousand liras was imposed on the driver of the vehicle whose images of driving in the wrong direction in Mersin were shared on social media, while his driver's license was temporarily confiscated.
Mersin Provincial Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate teams started an action regarding the 'vehicle moving in the opposite direction' images shared on social media platforms. During the investigations, it was determined that the vehicle was traveling against the direction of traffic on 34th Street in the central Yenişehir district. The identified driver is M.K. action was taken against him.
While an administrative fine of 21 thousand liras was imposed on the driver in accordance with Articles 47/1-d and 46/2-i of the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918, his driver's license was temporarily confiscated within the scope of Article 45 of the same law.
