Footage shared on social media showed passengers being asked to bow their heads and raise their hands, while armed security personnel entered the aircraft and escorted a passenger off.
According to information in the US press, the incident reportedly began with the misinterpretation of a Muslim passenger's phone alarm, set for Ramazan prayer times. After some passengers assessed the situation as a security risk, the flight crew decided to make an emergency landing as a precautionary measure.
