Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Buddy Association, the president of the association, Haluk Levent, was detained in Bursa by the teams of the Istanbul Police Anti-Financial Crimes Branch Directorate on charges of 'opposition to the law on associations', 'laundering of assets resulting from crime' and 'membership of an organisation'.
After this situation hit the agenda like a bomb, all eyes turned to Oğuzhan Uğur, who was in a close relationship with Haluk Levent. Making a statement on his social media account, Uğur said, "I learned the lessons I needed to learn for myself. From now on, we have seen the importance of not acting outside the official institutions of the state in such processes."
