In commemoration programs held in Erzurum's Oltu district on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, the martyrs of July 15 were remembered with prayers.
The commemoration events started with the Mevlid-i Şerif program held at Aslanpaşa Mosque. Citizens participating in the program gave messages of unity and solidarity and prayed for the martyrs of July 15. After the Mevlid program, the district protocol and citizens visited Aslanpaşa Martyrdom. After the prayer made by Oltu District Mufti Veysel Çelebi, carnations were left on the graves of the martyrs. Emotional moments were experienced while the Holy Quran was recited for the martyrs.
After the visit to the martyrs' cemetery, Oltu District Governor Mustafa Çelik and accompanying protocol members visited the families of the martyrs at their homes and shared their pain. During the visits, it was emphasized that the state was always with the families of the martyrs, and feelings of support and gratitude were expressed to the families. Oltu District Governor Mustafa Çelik, Oltu Garrison Commander Hakan Yay, Oltu Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Public Prosecutor M. Mustafa Yılmaz, Oltu District Mufti Veysel Çelebi, chiefs, managers of public institutions and organizations and many citizens attended the commemoration programs.
In the events held within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, the importance of upholding democracy and the spirit of national unity was emphasized, while all martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country were commemorated with mercy, gratitude and prayers. - ERZURUM
