"15 July Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Tent" was established in Samsun.

The "15 July Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Tent", which was established in Istiklal Square by the Presidency Directorate of Communications under the coordination of Samsun Governorship, was opened to the visit of citizens.

In his speech here, Governor Orhan Tavlı wished mercy to the martyrs and gratitude to the veterans on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

Emphasizing that the Turkish nation defended democracy at the expense of its life on July 15, 2016, Tavlı said, "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day is the day of victory when our beloved nation united forever with the principle of one nation, one flag, one homeland and one state and claimed its national will." he said.

Pointing out that the Turkish nation, which protected their homeland with the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, turned the coup attempt into a victory for democracy, Tavlı said:

"Just like in Çanakkale and the War of Independence, the night of July 15, 2016 once again declared to the world that the spirit of unity, solidarity and brotherhood will exist in these lands forever. We all experience the honor, pride and happiness of being united as a nation and standing shoulder to shoulder on July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. We, especially the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, declared these lands as our homeland. "I commemorate with endless gratitude, gratitude and mercy our 15 July martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of national will and democracy, along with our beloved martyrs who wrote epics with their blood and lives, and our heroic veterans who passed away, and I wish our surviving heroic veterans a long life full of health, prosperity and peace."

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan, Coast Guard Black Sea Region Commander Rear Admiral Ahmet Bahadır, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Mustafa Bakçepınar, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Arıbaş, Ondokuz Mayıs University Rector Prof. attended the program. Dr. Fatma Aydın, Presidential Communications Directorate Samsun Regional Director Ebu Bekir Ayrancı and citizens attended.

The tent will remain open to visitors until July 20.
