The hot weather, which continues to affect Şanlıurfa, one of the hottest cities in Türkiye, negatively affects daily life.
In the city, where the air temperature is above seasonal norms, there is calmness in the streets and avenues, and citizens prefer not to go out unless necessary.
Historical Balıklıgöl Campus, one of the important tourism centers of the city, continues to be a frequent destination for citizens who are overwhelmed by the heat with its green areas and shade.
Those who want to protect themselves from the heat spend time in parks, tree shades and cool areas.
Kerem Güven, one of the city residents, stated to the AA correspondent that hot weather makes life difficult and said, "The weather is very hot, we are literally burning. We drink something cold and we get burned again, we drink something hot and we get burned again." he said.
Mehmet Şakir Ulutaş, who came to visit the city from Ankara, stated that he preferred Balıklıgöl Campus due to its cool environment and said, "I came to Balıklıgöl to cool off because it is one of the coolest regions of Şanlıurfa at the moment." he said.
