In Serik district of Antalya, 3 of the 4 suspects, who were determined to have defrauded citizens via social media and were apprehended by gendarmerie teams, were sent to prison by the court they appeared before.
According to information obtained, an investigation was launched following fraud complaints made by some citizens in Serik to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Acting on the instructions of the Serik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Serik District Gendarmerie Command identified the suspects as a result of their operations. Investigations revealed that the suspects had defrauded citizens by contacting them via social media from various provinces and using IBAN and cryptocurrency accounts through phone calls.
The 4 suspects apprehended in the operation were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie were completed. While 3 of the suspects were arrested, 1 was released under judicial control. - ANTALYA
