Martyrs' cemeteries were visited in Sivas and Kırıkkale on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In the program held at Yukarı Tekke Martyrdom in Sivas, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made for the martyrs, including the 15 July martyr Münir Murat Ertekin.
Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, 5th Infantry Training Brigade and Garrison Commander Brigadier General Zeynel Abidin Alptekin, Mayor Adem Uzun, Chief Public Prosecutor Mehmet Akif Aktaş, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Alağaçlı, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Adem Taşkın and the participants visited the graves of the martyrs and left carnations.
In Kırıkkale's Karakeçili district, the graves of July 15 martyrs, police officers Alparslan Yazıcı and Volkan Pilavcı, were visited.
During the visit, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made by District Mufti İbrahim Kulp.
District Governor Yasin Mert, District Police Chief İbrahim Kocaer and protocol members left carnations on the graves of the martyrs.
District Governor Mert and his entourage then visited martyr police officer Yazıcı's mother Sevim and father Hasan Yazıcı, and martyr Volkan Pilavcı's father Hikmet Pilavcı.
Here, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made.
Wishing mercy on the martyrs during the visit, Mert said, "The families of our brothers who were martyred for the country are our crowning glory, and as a state official, we are always at their service." he said.
On the other hand, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made for the martyrs at the Central Ertuğrul Gazi Mosque.
