The "15 July Memorial Center", prepared by the governorship in Sivas within the scope of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day events, attracts great attention from visitors.
According to the statement made by the Governorship, the center, which was created in the area behind the Atatürk and Congress Museum, was opened to visitors on July 10 with the participation of Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, Chief Advisor to the President and July 15 Veteran Turgut Aslan and the provincial protocol.
In the center where the events during the coup attempt on July 15, 2016 are told, there are photographs from across Türkiye and Sivas, videos containing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's messages, newspaper clippings, chronological event flow and informative panels.
In the center, where the events of the night of the coup attempt are conveyed with various visuals, paintings containing portraits of the July 15 martyrs prepared by students are also exhibited.
Visitors have the opportunity to see what happened on the night of July 15 with a different experience, thanks to the virtual reality experience area created. The center also includes a vehicle that was damaged during the coup attempt.
The July 15 Memorial Center, which attracts interest from citizens of all ages, can be visited every day between 09.00-21.00 until July 16.
