It was reported that air defense systems in Saudi Arabia were activated due to ballistic missiles launched by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.
Turki al-Maliki, Spokesperson of the Coalition led by Saudi Arabia, stated in the statement made on the social media account of the US-based company X that the Houthis attacked the south of Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles.
Maliki said, "Air defense systems were activated due to the threat of ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthis to the south of Saudi Arabia." he said.
There is no statement yet from the Houthis regarding the issue.
The Yemeni government announced that an Iranian plane entered Yemeni airspace during the day with the aim of landing at the International Sanaa Airport in the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa.
In his video statement, Defense Minister Tahir al-Ukayli stated that Iranian planes violated Yemeni airspace and announced that they would respond to these violations.

Yemen Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority also announced that all airports across the country were closed to flights until further notice after the bombing of Sanaa Airport.
