The bridges over the Meriç and Tunca rivers passing through the center of Edirne turned red and white for July 15. While the historical bridges illuminated at night attracted great attention from the citizens, a visual feast emerged.
In Edirne, Meriç and Tunca bridges, whose maintenance, repair and lighting activities were completed by the Special Provincial Administration after the winter flood, were illuminated with red and white lights, the colors of the Turkish flag, on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In the statement made by Edirne Governorship, it was stated that Meriç and Tunca bridges, covered in red and white colors, symbolize the spirit of national unity, solidarity and democracy of July 15, and added: "We commemorate our beloved martyrs with mercy and gratitude and our heroic veterans with gratitude." - EDIRNE
