Photographer Burak Tunçkol, who lives in Evrensekiz town of Kırklareli's Lüleburgaz district, wrote "Let there be a Polad Hashimov Museum in Baku and Ankara" on a 45-decare field with a plow attached to his tractor, calling for a museum to be built in the name of Azerbaijani Martyr Major General Polad Hashimov.
Photographer Burak Tunçkol carried out a remarkable activity to keep the memory of Martyr Major General Polad Hashimov, one of Azerbaijan's national heroes, alive. Tunçkol called on both Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by writing "Let there be a Polad Hashimov Museum in Baku and Ankara" on the 45-decare field he cultivated with his tractor and plow.
Martyr Azerbaijani Major General Polad Hashimov was martyred along with his 11 comrades in the attack of Armenia on July 14, 2020. After Hashimov's martyrdom, the Karabakh War, which was initiated by Azerbaijan and lasted for 44 days, ended in victory, and Karabakh was again under the control of Azerbaijan. Hashimov was engraved in memories as one of the symbolic figures of the war.
"We want a museum to be built in the name of our Pasha"
Photographer Burak Tunçkol said, "I did this activity on the anniversary of the martyrdom of our Azerbaijani Martyr Major General Polad Hashimov Pasha, one of the greatest martyrs of Azerbaijan, our sister country Azerbaijan and the Turkish world. July 14 is the martyrdom day of our Polad Hashimov Pasha. I went to the field in Evrensekiz to say 'Let there be a Polad Hashimov Museum in Baku and Ankara.' "I wrote an article. My purpose in writing this article is to request both the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. İlham Aliyev, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to build a museum in the name of Polad Hashimov Pasha."
"We want the Polad Hashimovs of the future to grow up"
Tunçkol said, "I went to Azerbaijan four times. Every time I went, I visited the house of our Polad Hashimov Pasha in Sumgayit. Unfortunately, our Pasha's photographs, clothes and the medals he received are exhibited in a small room. With the martyrdom of our Polad Hashimov Pasha, the Karabakh War started and at the end of the 44-day war, Karabakh became Azerbaijan's again. For this reason, our Pasha is very important to us.
