A mother and daughter walking on the pavement were killed when they were hit by a commercial taxi that lost control in Konya, while the driver was injured.
The accident occurred around noon on Fetih Caddesi in Doğuş Mahallesi, Karatay district. According to information received, the commercial taxi with license plate 42 TT 154, driven by Hasan K. (30), was traveling in the direction of Altıyol Kavşağı when its driver lost control. It struck a mother and daughter walking on the pavement at the intersection of Büyükkumköprü Caddesi and Fetih Caddesi, then collided with parked vehicles before coming to a stop. Numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene following the report. Medical teams determined that the mother, Dilek Ö. (53), and her daughter, Ecrin Ö. (13), had lost their lives, while the driver, Hasan K., was injured. The injured driver was taken by ambulance to Konya Şehir Hastanesi after initial intervention.
Police teams took precautions at the scene of the traffic incident, while the lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter were transported to the Konya Adli Tıp Kurumu morgue after investigations at the scene. An investigation into the accident has been launched. - KONYA
