Yahya Ergin (81), the driver of the car that collided with a truck in Kozlu district of ZONGULDAK, and his wife Aysel Ergin (80) lost their lives.
The accident occurred around 15.30 in Ilıksu location of Kozlu district. The car with plate number 67 UA 738, driven by Yahya Ergin, and the truck with plate number 06 CAM 67, driven by Numan A. (22), collided. In the accident, the driver of the car, Yahya Ergin, and his wife, Aysel Ergin, were injured when the car skidded and fell into the roadside water canal. Upon notice, health, police and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene of the traffic incident. The injured were taken to Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulance. The Ergin couple, who was taken into treatment, could not be saved despite all the interventions.
After the accident, truck driver Numan A. was taken into custody.
